In 2006, Solid Camera introduced the 1st Wedgie quick release to solve mounting problems on set. After 40 different prototypes, the basic design emerged and first sold in 2007.
16 years later…. it was time to re-imagine the design. Months of experiments led to the all-new ball-lock mechanism that ensures the connection is rigid, while being easy to release. We also added features for specialty add-ons aimed at specific applications. We are building a variety of special mating wedges to accommodate a broad variety of mounting challenges.
